The Serrallonga Track is a Long Distance (56 km) trail linking the main villages of the Les Guilleries massif. The main route runs from Santa Coloma de Farners to Sau (Osona), via Osor. There are also two variants which link the towns of Anglès and Sant Hilari Sacalm up with this route. It offers the chance to discover at first hand the key scenes in the active life of Joan Sala, the legendary bandolier of Les Guilleries also known as Serrallonga. This distinctly wooded landscape includes the crossroads where he would spring his ambushes, the cols where bailiffs and militiamen would lie in wait for him, the house where he lived (Can Serrallonga), the farmhouses where he would hide, etc., as well as the site where he was captured, having been betrayed. The route is also of considerable natural interest, as it runs through the protected area of the Les Guilleries massif, with its substantial woodlands of holm and cork oaks, chestnut and beech trees, etc. Practically the entire itinerary runs through the district of La Selva, except for a stretch of a few hundred metres leading down to the Sau reservoir.
