Avellaners de Can Sala burial chamber
Roman burial monument dating from the 1st or 2nd century AD, discovered and excavated in 1891. It was the main element of a necropolis, a Roman cemetery, where other cremation burials have also been discovered, although in a much worse state of preservation. It must have belonged to a nearby Roman villa of which no evidence has been discovered to date. The original tower was destroyed in the 1960s and has since been reconstructed.
The space for the funeral urn of the deceased can be observed in the upper section.
