Centre for the Interpretation of the Iberian World
In the county of Selva, Lloret de Mar is the town with the largest number of studied Iberian settlements. The ground floor of the Can Saragossa building, a former farmhouse now home to the culture department of Lloret Town Council, houses a permanent exhibition entitled “The Iberian world in Lloret de Mar”, devoted to the rich Iberian heritage of the municipality. The exhibition is split into four rooms: the first room places us in the context of the Iberian world and the process of Romanisation, while the others are each devoted to one of the three excavated settlements of Lloret de Mar: Montbarbat, Puig de Castellet and Turó Rodó.
The exhibition is composed of a series of information panels, glass display cases with original archaeological finds from the three sites and a large scale model of Puig de Castellet.
