Chapel of Sant Romà
The Chapel of Sant Romà stands alone in a sea of crop fields at the north-eastern edge of the municipality of Brunyola, close to the boundaries with Vilobí d’Onyar and Bescanó. We know that in 1279 it belonged to Brunyola Castle, but its construction dates back to the 10th century.
It is a small, well-preserved building consisting of a nave terminated by a horseshoe-shaped apse. In the modern period a sacristy was added to the south end and the nave was extended at the west end, which is where the entrance is located, along with a bell gable with two arches and a porch.
