Church of Sant Feliu de Buixalleu
Few municipalities in Selva cover a larger area than Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, yet at its centre lies one of the smallest population centres in the county. The most noteworthy feature of the little village is the Parish Church of Sant Feliu de Buixalleu.
The building was in existence by 1019 and the main structure dates from this period, although it has been somewhat concealed by subsequent reconstructions and extensions. The Romanesque semicircular apse can still be clearly seen from outside the building, at the chancel end. Next to it, the bell tower is undeniably Romanesque up to the base of the second tier of windows, as clearly indicated by the double windows on each of its four sides, making a visit to this church very worthwhile.
