Mare de Déu de la Pietat
This chapel, located at the entrance from Girona to the town of Amer, is decorated with ecclesiastic authorities (bishops and abbots) before you reach the town proper. The church has a rectangular nave with a semicircular apse and is likely of Romanesque origin. The current construction, however, dates from the 17th century, when it underwent significant renovation in 1844. The chapel has a bell-gable and porch with two arcades in front which the street now passes beneath.
